Law & More respects your privacy and attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy statement we explain how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which personal data do we process?

Depending on the services you use or your contact with us, we process the following categories of personal data:

Name and contact details (address, e-mail address, telephone number)
Date of birth and identification data (for client identification under the Dutch Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act, Wwft)
Financial data (for invoicing and payment processing)
Special categories of personal data, insofar as relevant to your legal matter
Data you provide through contact forms or by e-mail
Data obtained from public registers (Trade Register, Land Registry)
IP addresses and technical data when you visit our website

3. Purposes and legal grounds of the processing

We process your personal data only for the following purposes and on the legal grounds stated (Article 6 GDPR):

Providing legal services: executarea unui contract

Invoicing and administration: performance of a contract / legal obligation

4. Sharing personal data with third parties

Law & More provides your personal data to third parties only where this is necessary for our services or where we are legally required to do so. This may include bailiffs, civil-law notaries and courts, IT service providers and hosting parties, accountants and tax advisers, and supervisory authorities. We conclude a data processing agreement with every processor. Personal data are transferred outside the European Economic Area only on the basis of appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR.

5. Retention periods

Client files: 5 years after the matter is closed
Record financiar: 7 years (statutory tax retention obligation)
Wwft documentation: 5 years after the end of the business relationship
Application Data: no more than 4 weeks after the procedure ends (or 1 year with your consent)

Law & More takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transfer (SSL), access controls, regular back-ups and confidentiality obligations for staff.
